October 27, 2018 – Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

A shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue left 11 people dead and six injured Saturday morning, stoking horror in a heavily Jewish part of the western Pennsylvania city.
– USA Today Headline from earlier today.

Today there was a tragedy.
A tragic shooting.
It happened today at the Tree of Life Synagogue.

I decided to create this digital painting of the former president of the Tree of Life Synagogue.  Today there was a tragic shooting right there at the Synagogue.  He was walking towards his place of worship unknowingly moments away from a shooting.

Our prayers are with the survivors and their families.

The reference for this painted portrait is from an interview he gave outside the Tree of Life Synagogue just a few hours ago.

Here is a quote from Michael Eisenberg.
Quote:

‘I just saw what was going on.  And, I just could not believe it.  In light of other things that are going on across the nation.  To see this right on my street right where I was heading.  I’m still processing it.’

Quote is in reference to the Pittsburgh shooting.
