HOW TO BE AN AWESOME COMEDIC ARTIST AND SPEAKER

This was spurred from some of my discussions I’ve had for a few years now.
This is a short list of notes for comedians. I’ve deliberately kept this list short.
Always speak to the audience you are speaking to.
Technology and video also affects this nowadays
Be aware of how technology changes your art, your art-form, and how these are perceived by your audience.
Don’t use Comedic Crutches.
-Vulgarity can disrespect certain audiences.
( Foul Language ) Just say no.
-Poor behavior can also gross people out.
( Foul Actions ) Just say no.
-No one wants to hear about your ideas on bodily function either.
( Foul Thoughts ) Just say no.
Not that it hasn’t been done before but you can be better.

Make your audience better for listening to you not worse.
Situational, Linguistic, Relational, Emotive, Persona are some types of comedy you can use with success. There are many other types of comedy too.
Develop your own style. <- But hopefully you have heard that before.
As an aside your message is what is critical.
Please note that we live in intelligent times, consider yourself a speaker instead of a jester. In any Art the message is important.
For me it is important to thank my audience for their time.
